These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the City Rest mobile app and this website (together, "the Service"), operated by City Rest, a UK-based sole trader business. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
What City Rest is
City Rest provides guided audio content and related features intended for general wellbeing and relaxation purposes, particularly around the experience of commuting on public transport. It is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, contact emergency services or a qualified professional.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use City Rest.
Accounts
You may sign in using Apple, Google, or anonymously. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app's settings.
Journal and mood data
City Rest includes an optional journal and mood check-in feature. Use of this feature is entirely optional, and any entries you make are stored to be shown back to you within the app. Deleting your account deletes this data permanently.
Subscriptions
Certain content is available through a paid subscription, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, in line with the relevant app store's policies. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google account settings — City Rest does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds outside of Apple's or Google's own refund policies.
Free trial
New subscribers may be offered a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription at the price shown at the time of signup.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to interfere with its normal operation, reverse-engineer the app, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
All content within the Service, including guided audio sessions, text, and branding, is owned by City Rest or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, publicly perform, or create derivative works from this content without permission.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. City Rest does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your individual needs.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, City Rest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
